“When the Prophet (SAWW) prayed Fajr prayer, he sat in his place until the sun rose completely.” (Muslim, the book of masjid…670)
Benefit of sitting after the prayer in Masjid:
Allah Instructed the angels to pray for forgiveness for those sitting in the Maasjid, weather it is before or after the Salaah, by saying,
“O Allah, forgive them
O Allah,have mercy on them.”
(Al Bukhari, the book of prayer…445)
